Every year Pack 478 participates in a scout-favorite service activity at St Paul's Church - the Pancake Breakfast!  At this event the cub scouts help an older group of scouts serve breakfast at a local Church's Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.  Word is the cub scouts love working the breakfast.

 

The Tigers are going to be working the St. Pauls' pancake breakfast this upcoming Saturday from 8:00-10:30.  They start serving meals at 8:00 am, so getting there a couple of minutes early is helpful to make sure that everything is ready.  And please have the scouts wear their Class A uniforms so that they can show off all of their awards and look sharp.

 

This event is optional --- don't worry if you have plans and can't make it.

 

I've never done this, but it got rave reviews in previous years.  In previous years, Pack 478 has rotated our dens to volunteer at the event.  This month it is the Tiger Den's turn.  This is a great volunteer opportunity for the scouts.  Plus, the scouts have traditionally really enjoyed helping setting the tables, refilling butter and syrup, and cleaning up places after people eat.  The scouts are vital to making the event a success.  And, as an added bonus, the scouts also get to eat breakfast while they are working.  :)

Community Pancake Breakfast

Serving Hours 8:00-10:30 AM

The UMM group is holding a Pancake Breakfast the first Saturday in March. Everyone from throughout the community will enjoy the pancakes and other breakfast foods, and proceeds benefit St. Paul’s and regional charities. Serving hours are 8:00-10:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Instead of charging a fixed price, families are asked to make a generous goodwill donation. As a guide, the suggested amount is $8 for adults and $2 for children under 12, or $20 for a family of 4.)
